The city is based off modern-day time, however, you can choose to ride a Horse, Saber. The technology level i would say is modern day as well. You did bring up a nice point Jericho thanks.

Edit: Oh and in addition, Your character may not be in his usual battle attire full time, especially to not stick out of the crowd during daylight or to keep a secret identity. So In your character sheets please be sure to give a description of the appearance as well and picture if you have one.

Ok so if this a modern era would say my character be able to use guns or is this purely melee weapons only? And I'll get two different sets of clothing for my guy.

You can use guns but also think anime styled fighting. Honestly, If you can make abilities with gun wielding thats fine. You can use katana, dagger, sword,staff. For modern day you can use dual-pistols, etc. If you have questions on abilities ask. There is magic,passive abilities, etc. So keep that in mind as well. I'm actually about to post my character up as well, if your not done before it. You can look at it for a reference.
